My name is Andy Sabaka. I am married to a wonderful, godly woman named Andrea, and we have three beautiful daughters, Elaine, Lena, and Noel.  I am a committed follower of Christ, and currently serve as one of the pastors/elders at Grace Fellowship Church in Louisville, Kentucky. I grew up in Canton, Ohio, graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago in May 2003, and graduated with a Master Of Divinity degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky in May of 2007.  When I’m not at the church, I enjoy spending time with my family, preferably outdoors.  I also enjoy reading, cooking, and watching the Cubs with my wife, though the Cleveland Indians are my first love.  I’m addicted to Andrew Peterson’s music and enjoy everything from bluegrass to jazz.  Though I denied it for awhile, I am a “coffee snob,” a condition I attribute to my parents and the four years I worked at Starbucks (though you should check out these guys for great coffee and a greater cause).

This blog is intended as an outlet to write and think “out-loud” within a community of other people.  After ending my formal education, I realized that I actually enjoy writing and find it extremely helpful in synthesizing my thoughts, which basically means that if no one ever reads what is written here, it will not be a total loss.

  1. Good stuff man. I also find reading and writing as my main way of relaxing and continuing to learn in the post-school era of my life.
I wish you all the best with realizing what God has for you. My wife and I are about to move to Chattanooga, Tennessee to plant a church. So if you think God is telling to join us as pastor of high school basketball leagues and midget skits, let me know!
